Adelaide, the 'City of Churches', has some unique features when it comes to surveillance.
'Adelaide' is only approximately 20km's wide but is over 100km from North to South.
It is wider, and longer, than the 'Gold Coast', being the 5th largest City in Australia.
Adelaide also has a better tram and rail service than most other cities, which may require more 'leg work' during surveillance, with operatives having to change from vehicular surveillance to foot.
The road network has become more congested, with speed detection devices and red light camera's. These have put the licenses of our highly motivated operatives 'at risk', as they try to maintain contact.
This has resulted in the modification of our 'standard' for vehicular surveillance, with more need to 'two up' (multiple operatives in multiple vehicles) surveillance.
The reasons for using surveillance are varied. Our operatives are there to verify a claim (such as for a restriction relating to an injury), to gather evidence (such as a person using a vehicle to which they claim to have no right, or working when they claim to be unemployed), to locate people (e.g. follow someone from a known point, to see where they reside), to confirm or deny a suspicion, or verify a fact (relationship investigations).
